Usher won't be back as a judge next season NBC's hit singing competition The Voice.
The 34-year-old singer, dancer and music producer replaced Cee Lo Green on the judging panel this year, but can't renew his contract due to a movie commitment.
Cee Lo, who made a guest appearance last week on the show, was expected to return to the red chair reserved for judges.

The panel also will see Christina Aguilera return after new judge Shakira opted out to spend more time with her family, according to a report Tuesday in UsMagazine.com.
'Usher is doing a movie so he couldn't do season five if they wanted him to,' a source told the magazine.

'Shakira wants to take a season off to take care of the baby,' the source said.
Both Usher and Shakira both have options to return to the show.
Christina, 32, left the show last year to promote her album Lotus, which was released in November to disappointing sales.

Christina and Usher will rejoin original judges Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
Usher and Shakira have provided fun and intense moments on the show as they have nurtured singing hopefuls and wrestled with their decisions on which team members to eliminate.
The often spacey Cee Lo and acerbic Christina have yet to win, while Blake has won twice and Adam once.
